Amateur Radio Society

The Cariboo / Chilcotin Amateur Radio Society Welcomes You!

The Cariboo / Chilcotin Amateur Radio Society is composed of volunteer, Industry Canada licensed amateur radio (HAM) operators who install and maintain a network of VHF voice and digital radio repeaters. The principle mandate of radio amateurs is to provide emergency communications. This holds especially true in areas where no commercial equivalent exists or is non-operational due to disaster. This is even more relevant in rural BC where cellular service is marginal or non-existent.
